NZIV Survey Reminder
NZIV Members are reminded to participate in our 2024 Annual Survey.
The survey forms an important part of our annual planning process and helps your Council identify member priorities.

Branch AGM Reminder
Branch Annual General Meetings are underway throughout the country and members are again encouraged to participate and show their support for their local team.

Research Project
We encourage members to consider participating in the below research project led by Associate Professor Abdul-Rasheed Amidu from the University of Auckland;

PROJECT TITLE: KNOWLEDGE SHARING BEHAVIOUR IN COLLABORATIVE VALUATION ENGAGEMENTS

University of Auckland Property Department are conducting this research because there is currently limited information regarding the extent of knowledge sharing and collaboration among Registered Valuers, as well as the associated benefits and barriers that influence the overall quality of valuations. This investigation is crucial because the valuation quality serves as a vital confidence-building mechanism for market participants, including buyers, sellers, and lending institutions, ensuring they are well-informed.
Kindly click this link to participate in the study. A Participant Information Sheet (PIS) that give details of the study as well as an online survey is provided. Please note that participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw from the study at any time up until you submit your survey responses. By submitting the online survey, you are consenting to participate in the research
You can also contact the researcher via the contact detail below if you would like to find out more about the study. Thank you.

IVS Standards Update

As of 31 January 2024, IVSC released the latest updates to the International Valuation Standards (IVS)
This comprehensive update includes the addition of new chapters, encompassing Data and Inputs, Valuation Models, and Reporting. The revised standards, effective from January 2025, also place increased emphasis on integrating ESG considerations into the valuation process.
There is also a focus at IVS 100 Framework 20.1 – 20.8 in relation to “ Valuation Process Quality Control”. If you are considering early adoption you must meet all of the requirements in this and all other sections.
PINZ will be conducting training sessions throughout 2024.
Members can access these standards for download via the PINZ website HERE. Additionally, a 'red-line' version of the standards has been published to highlight changes made from the previous edition.
