Tēnā koutou katoa,
The 2023 National Property Conference is now only a few weeks away and is being held at the state-of-the-art Te Pae Convention Centre in Christchurch.
I'm delighted with how the programme has come together, and confident that this will be an event that sets the bar even higher for the future. With hundreds of property experts from New Zealand and around the globe, it promises to be a rare opportunity to network and learn from like-minded professionals who are passionate about upskilling and delivering first class service to their clients.
As part of our ongoing mission for constant improvement - this year - we have introduced new technologies to make the delegate experience even more streamlined.
We've also restructured the timetable and refreshed our prestigious awards (more on the awards below).
We're very pleased with the line-up of engaging speakers and relevant worthwhile education that we have managed to pack into the exciting programme.
Worth a total of 16 CPD points for the whole conference, members will have the opportunity to participate in the compulsory standards and ethics modules while also hearing from the authors responsible for a range of cutting edge research papers.
Please join us.

Ngā Mihi

PINZ & NZIV AGMs

In recent weeks members should have received notice of the Property Institute of New Zealand AGM and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers AGM, both being held around the Christchurch-based Conference.
These are free to attend and worth one CPD point. The PINZ Board and NZIV Council encourage members to attend.
Shortly, the 2022 Annual Report will be circulated. As confirmed by our auditors, the 2022 financial results are healthy due to careful operational management and the stewardship of and our governing bodies.
Like previous years, this will be an electronic document for adoption at the AGMs.

In brief...
Welcome back NZIV President Heather Beard.
Heather has returned from a period of leave and has resumed her duties as NZIV President.

Members can email Heather at:  President@NZIV.org.nz
The Property Institute of New Zealand Incorporated Constitution has been supported by a large majority of voting members and will come into force in 2024.
The policies underpinning the constitution will be rolled out this year following member input.
   New premises offer versatility
As part of our ongoing efforts to carefully control costs while delivering excellence in members services, the Property Institute of New Zealand National Support Team is relocating offices.
Now located at 76, Willis Street in Wellington, the new arrangement (in partnership with Digital Nomads) includes an offsite, fit-for-purpose, conference room that will mean we are less reliant on our supporters to help us provide facilities for the many meetings which are required for effective organisation.
Members are welcome to drop by, but please do give us some warning first!
We will also offer a variety of negotiated off-site meeting facilities to members in Wellington for meetings in a professional environment.
Let us know if this is something you or your business might take advantage of and email c.flannigan@property.org.nz.

Branch Chairs Day

A big thank you to our Branch Chairs for attending our annual get together where we focus on the strategic priorities for the year ahead and get a first-hand download of the unique issues that our regional leaders are dealing with.
With 17 Branches nationwide, the Property Institute is more attuned to what is happening at the grassroots than many similar organisations.
This is due largely to the great work our Branch Chairs do to keep the flag flying and support their local members.
Be sure to check out our Branch Chair profiles in the Property Professional Magazine.
The first tranche of six appeared in this edition, and the next edition will be in your email very soon.
