Notice of the 2023 Annual General Meeting of The Property Institute of New Zealand

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Property Institute of New Zealand will be held in the Auditorium of the Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre on Wednesday 7 June 2023 at 4.30 pm.

If you are unable to attend the AGM, we encourage you to complete the attached proxy form to ensure that your vote is counted.

The nature of the business to be transacted at the meeting will be:

1. Welcome

2. Apologies

3. Minutes of the previous meeting

4. President’s Report

5. Receive and adopt the Annual Report

6. Receive and adopt the audited financial statements for the 2022 financial year

7. Announce the Life Member advancement

8. Announce the appointment of any Fellows

9. Announce the appointment of Board Members

10. Appointment of Auditors

11. Consider any resolution of which proper notice has been given

12. General Business

Closure of Meeting

Any Member wishing any business to be discussed or any resolution to be considered at an annual general meeting shall give notice in writing to the Chief Executive Officer of such business or such resolution not less than twenty (20) Business Days prior to the date of the annual general meeting. Members wishing to submit any resolution may do so until 4.00 pm, 8 May 2023.


Non-voting members (students, affiliates, members who have been suspended by the Board, or non-financial members) are not entitled to vote at the AGM.

Minutes of last year's AGM are available on the Institute's website at www.propertyinstitute.nz. For those members requiring a hard copy please email robyn@property.org.nz.


Proxy forms must be with the Property Institute no later than 4.00 pm, 1 June 2023.
