Stay safe and follow official advice

The Institute of Advisors and Consultants (IPAC) and the Commercial Property Managers Institute (COMPRO) are reminding members of their professional communities to stay safe and follow official advice.

IPAC Chair Ian Brown and COMPRO Chair Phil Porteous says they understand the uncertainty and frustration that another national lockdown is likely to cause, but say in the interests of public confidence in the sector it's important that property professionals follow the rules at Alert Level Four.

"We have all been through this before and the short term pain of a lockdown is something we can get through.

"Members could use the time to catch up on their CPD or follow up on paper work, there's no need to put yourself, or your business reputation in danger by taking unnecessary risks."

The two Chairs acknowledge and support the position taken by Property Institute President Luke van den Broek last night.

Like the last national lockdown, IPAC and COMPRO will keep in close contact with members and officials to answer questions and provide relevant advice as it comes to hand.
