  • Nick Goodall

    • Head of Research at CoreLogic NZ

    Nick is an ace with numbers, and he has a knack for transforming facts and figures into compelling stories to inform a wide range of audiences. As our Head of Research, Nick is at the forefront of the latest trends driving the NZ property market.

    After starting out as an analyst in the telecommunications and banking industries, Nick joined CoreLogic in 2011. By drawing on his varied experience and expertise, he always brings interesting insights to the property industry.


  • Susan Kilsby

    • Agriculture Economist
    • ANZ Banking Group

    In Susan’s role as Agricultural Economist for ANZ she is responsible for research on New Zealand’s primary sector. She also covers sustainability as this is increasingly becoming an integral part of the success of our primary sector businesses.
    Susan took on her current role with ANZ Bank in October 2018, having been previously employed by ANZ as a graduate earlier in her career. Prior to rejoining ANZ Susan was at NZX where she headed up a team of agriculture analysts and was involved with launching the dairy derivatives market, including the milk price future and options products.
    The research Susan produces for ANZ is disseminated through a variety of mediums including the Agri Focus publication which covers dairy, sheep, beef, deer, forestry, arable and horticulture.
    Susan studied Agricultural Economics at Massey University. She was raised on a dairy farm in Taranaki and now lives with her partner and two children on a small sheep and beef farm in Martinborough.

  • Garry Dowse

    • Director, Commercial Valuation & Advisory Services, Manawatū
    • CBRE LTD

    Garry Dowse has over 35 years of valuation experience and expertise in the valuation of investment, commercial, industrial and special use properties for rental, insurance, market value and financial reporting purposes.

    Garry advises several national companies and institutions both within and outside of Palmerston North. Over the years, he has been widely involved in property education including a period as a lecturer in Property at Massey University.

  • John Turkington

    Established in 1993, John Turkington Forestry Ltd (JTL) is one of the country’s most prominent forestry consultancies with services ranging from forest establishment, management and silviculture and through to harvesting and log exports.

  • Neil Walker

    • Manuka Farming New Zealand

    Neil is involved in a wide range of national and local business and politics. Chair of Taumaha Trust, Yobees Honey Ltd, Mangaone Manuka Ltd, Nukuhau Carbon Ltd, Manuka research Partnership NZ Ltd, and Manuka Farming NZ ltd. Former Chair of Apiculture Governance review Board. Neil has served as Chair of the Dairy Industry association (DIANZ) and was until 2016 a Director of FSANZ.

    He is head of the Primary Group partnership promoting the Manuka, Honey Industry and was Chair of the Government Policy Advisory Group of Research, science, and Engineering until 2016. Neil is also Chair of Optimal Forestry Ltd, Manuka Partnerships Ltd, Manuka Honey Lab Ltd, Nukuhau Nominees and Deputy Chair Taranaki Regional Council in his 9th Term.

  • Richard Moon

    Richard Moon has worked as a lawyer for over 25 years. Richard regularly advises professional services firms and professional bodies in relation to all aspects of their business. He has considerable general litigation experience and particular expertise in the conduct of disciplinary cases.

    Richards recent roles included acting for the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in proceedings concerning the interpretation of the Valuers Act 1948.

  • Steven Dunlop. FNZIV, FPINZ

    Chair of the NZIV Professional Conduct Committee.

    Steven has been Chair of the PCC since December 2022. The role of the PCC is to ensure that where the NZIV decides to investigate a complaint against a Registered Valuer, a properly constituted Committee undertakes that investigation fairly, in accordance with the rules of natural justice.



  • Phillip Curnow. FPINZ (Life), FNZIV (Life)

    Commercial valuation and arbitration specialist. Member of the Arbitration Panel of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of NZ. Phillip has a strong interest in valuer education. A trustee of the Valuers Education and Integrity Foundation since inception. Member of the Valuers Registration Board since 2007.

  • Jay Sorensen

    Jay is a rural valuer and director of Logan Stone Ltd a specialist rural and commercial/industrial valuation practice. Jay carries out valuation assignments throughout a range of rural properties, having been an active member of the New Zealand Property and Valuation Standards Board since 2015. Jay was recently made a fellow of both PINZ and NZIV.

    Jay is also a farmer, farming 200 hectares of sheep and beef within the Hawke’s Bay district, along with being qualified in Sustainable Nutrient Management. Jay therefore has an in-depth knowledge of the rural sector and what drives it.
