April Update
Greetings members

We have reached the first quarter of 2024 and already a lot exciting discussions have been had between our council members at our Council meeting held in March. The focus of some these discussions have been around creating a clearer pathway for our memberships and maximising our current membership by reaching out to the industry to understand what professional educational opportunities are out there that we can take advantage of.

At the 2024 Branch AGMs, it was encouraged that our professional community have involvement in branch management committees to elevate IPAC / COMPRO presence and network.  The feedback has been positive and we look forward to strengthening this relationship at future branch events and AGMs. As you may all be aware of now, PINZ has a brand new event on the industry calendar, and that is the National Property Ball held on the 22nd of October to celebrate professional property excellence and honour the incredible careers of award recipients.  Make sure you don’t miss out and get your tickets.

LEND US YOUR SKILLS
Both IPAC and COMPRO Councils are currently seeking one new member each.
If you, or anyone you know, would welcome the opportunity to give something back to the profession and enjoy being involved in helping set the direction of the Institutes then we would love to hear from you.
The work of a Professional Community Counsellor is immensely rewarding and a terrific opportunity to hone your Governance skills while networking with industry leaders and decision makers,
If this sounds like you then please contact Rebecca@property.org.nz and she will ensure your inquiry gets passed on to us.
Lastly the IPAC Council is saying farewell to outgoing Counsellor Shaun Dornbush, who has generously offered his time and knowledge in recent years.
Thank-you for your contribution Shaun, and we wish you well.

COMPRO Councillor Sarah Wrait - Profile
Director | Property Manager

A love of property has taken Sarah throughout the industry, from managing over a hundred commercial properties across New Zealand to overseeing and coordinating multi-million dollar projects. She has a reputation for getting things done and is frequently asked to step in and turn around difficult properties, projects and consulting situations.

Other than property, the common denominator throughout her career has been people. On everything from small problems to large projects, Sarah successfully works with and builds relationships with all key people involved. She excels at looking after her clients, landlords, tenants, contractors, and staff – keeping them engaged and informed.
It is this passion for people and property that led Sarah to found Azure Property. An outlet to use her commercial property experience, varied skill set, and networks to help her clients and their tenants succeed.
Sarah also has extensive experience in retail property, including management, leasing, project management and master planning.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Property and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland. She spent 6 months studying at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
