Congratulations Blue Hancock FNZIV (Life)
A huge congratulations to Blue Hancock on his elevation to Life Member at the recent NZIV AGM.
Life memberships are the most important form of recognition we can offer to members who have given extraordinary service to the profession over a number of years.
As well as receiving the NZIV and PINZ Life Memberships, Blue was awarded the PINZ President's Award at the 2023 Conference Gala dinner.
Blue has served as President of both NZIV and PINZ, he is our Standards expert, and has given up countless hours to serve members.
Congratulations Blue!
You've contributed an incredible amount to advance valuation and the property professions.

Conference 2023: Advancing the profession
It was great to catch up with so many members at the recent Global Valuation Conference in Christchurch.
NZIV has had a long and proud association with IVSC and WAVO and we were delighted to host their representatives as part of the event.
The Property Institute currently has a couple of surveys asking members and delegates for their opinions on events and conferences.  I'd encourage member
s to take part and have their say.
I also want to congratulate all the award winners, our new Life Member Blue Hancock, and our new fellows, Jay Sorensen, Jeff Alexander and Victoria Murdoch.

New CPD Sanction Framework Adopted

The New Zealand Institute of Valuers is prioritising delivery of quality education, maintaining high standards and ensuring professional valuers carry out their required Continuing Professional Development and exercise best practice.

NZIV has now adopted a new policy which can be viewed HERE.
This is a staged framework, which sees an escalating level of sanctions depending on the seriousness of the non-compliance and professional de-registration is an option for the worst offenders.
Members are strongly encouraged to review and familiarise themselves with this policy.
