Attention: Members of the Property Institute and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers,
In the past week your Institutes have been working hard on your behalf to secure reliable advice from officials relating to the operations of property professionals in the wake of the devastating floods.
The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has responded to a number of questions from Dr Gary Garner the NZIV General Secretary.
While these questions have a 'valuer focus', the answers will be of immense interest to other communities within the PINZ framework.

We have also set up a one-stop web-page for the most up to date information which we are posting as it comes to hand. That resource is HERE.
We are continuing our efforts to map out a strong programme of events and education for property professionals dealing with the emergency.
This now includes a webinar which will be hosted by Standards Board Chair Blue Hancock. He will be joined by other experts in the field. Registrations for that will open shortly on our EVENTS page.
The Standards team has also put together a Frequently Asked Questions document as to how members can manage their professional activity in the aftermath of recent events. That can be downloaded HERE.
Other events and education are in the works and will be announced shortly.
