To our Hawke's Bay & Tairāwhiti Colleagues

Greetings all,
 
We hope you, your families, and staff, are all safe and well.
 
This has been a week that Hawke's Bay & Tairāwhiti will add to history.  There's no doubt a long tail and long recovery is coming. I am sure you have all been affected in some way or another.
 
PINZ Chief Executive Viv Gurrey and I have been in contact with Hawke's Bay Branch Chair Paul Bibby and Gisborne Chair Che Whittaker.  NZIV Regional Councillor Andrew White's been on hand to offer excellent on the ground reports.

I just wanted to let you know that NZIV are urgently pulling together some guidance on Valuation Uncertainty, and seeking solid advice from Government officials, insurance companies, and banks, as we did during Covid.  
 
We are working hard to ensure we get reliable information to you as soon as we can, in what is a moving environment, while ensuring the emails we send you are relevant and helpful.

As many of our members will know from previous experience, there is one chance to get this right.

We want to keep members safe, the public safe, and to ensure what we do - and say - are supported by the correct advice.

This information will be available in one place on our website and it will evolve (as it did during Covid). 
We hope this is helpful for those of you who are having connectivity issues.

This may be a long road and we are preparing for that journey.
