Merry Christmas - Grab a break if you can

Buckle up.
2023 looks like its going to be another bumpy year for property professionals.
After a year of change, the immediate future looks like it could be just as challenging.
So, the IPAC and COMPRO Councils hope you can take some time out with friends and whanau over this holiday season, while having a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

New future leader joins IPAC
Ko Celeste Patutama tōku ingoa. He uri ahau nō Ngāti Awa, Te Arawa, Kuki Airani, Niue me Itari hoki. He mātanga paetahi arowhenua ahau mō WSP.

My name is Celeste Patutama. I am of Ngāti Awa, Te Arawa, Cook Island, Niuean and Italian descent. I am a Graduate Property Consultant at WSP.

I graduated from the University of Auckland in 2021 with a Bachelor of Property. I am passionate about Māori Land, Property Development and Valuation.

I entered the industry as a Summer Intern at the Ministry of Education at the end of 2020. I worked in the Capital Works – Major Works team delivering construction projects in schools across the Wellington and Wairarapa regions.

In March 2021 I started my current role at WSP as a Graduate Property Consultant, working in acquisitions, disposals and legalisation of land under the Public Works Act 1981 for major roading projects. WSP Property Consultancy has recently established a specialised Māori Land Development team which I am excited to be part of.

I applied to the Future Leaders Programme to meet new people and be amongst New Zealand’s up and coming property industry leaders. I hope to gain industry experience, develop my professional skills and bring a Māori and Pasifika perspective to the programme.
Delivering CPD

Your IPAC & COMPRO Councils have worked with the National Support Team in 2022 to deliver top class CPD opportunities.
There were 1,144 registrations for the 18 separate events that targeted the work we do.
We're always expanding the programme so let us know the things you want to know more about.
CPD & Subs

December 31 is an important date for members.

Member subscriptions are due by this date.  If you have missed your invoice please email HERE.

Members will also need to ensure they have completed the annual minimum CPD requirement by December 31.
Seeking Committee nominations

The Institute of Property Advisors and Consultants and the Commercial Property Managers Institute are on the hunt for new members.
This is your opportunity to help shape the direction of the industry and give something back as we support the incredible careers within the property professions. If you, or anyone you know, have an interest in learning more about the appointments please email Rebecca.

New IPAC/COMPRO Web Portal

We've been working closely with the PINZ National Support Team to develop a more tailor-made web resource for members and this year has seen this jump ahead in leaps and bounds.
If you haven't seen it yet, visit the website and have a look HERE (or click on the image).
These things are always a work in progress so if you have extra content you'd like to see, do let us know.
