Moving to the Covid Protection Framework

As New Zealand prepares to move to the new Covid Protection Framework, or Traffic Lights System as we've come to know it, members are reminded to follow all Government guidance.

By clicking on the image above you will get a brief description of what the traffic lights system means, and for a more comprehensive overview you can click HERE to be taken directly to the Covid-19 website explaining the framework.

Most members will be aware that those who have been vaccinated will enjoy more freedoms than those who have not.  We also remind members that the Property Institute of New Zealand and the New Zealand Institute of Valuers have adopted policies for external events under the Alert Level system, and these will be updated to reflect the requirements of the Protection Framework..

In summary though, it means that PINZ and NZIV events and attendees will need to abide by the rules set by the venue, such as social distancing, mask wearing and vaccine passes - depending on the alert levels as indicated by Government.

We would also encourage members to prepare for the arrival of Vaccine Passes by following the instructions you can find HERE.

On behalf of the Institute I also wish to convey our warmest thoughts to our Auckland and Waikato colleagues who are finally seeing some light at the end of a very long tunnel.

It has been a tough year for many and I do hope that members will be able to share some Covid war stories at their various Christmas social events.

Let us hope that we can finally start looking past lockdowns and border controls.
