Property Institute of New Zealand President Luke van den Broek is pleased to announce that Ben Gill has been elected as Vice-President of PINZ.
Ben is currently serving as Wellington Branch Chair and joined the Board earlier this year.
“Ben will be well-known to many members, he has been heavily involved in the Institute over a number of years – even continuing his involvement through regular contributions to the Property Professional magazine during his time in the UK.
“Ben’s a dynamic and engaged operator with a real passion for the property professions and a strong understanding of how PINZ works. The Board welcomes his contribution and commitment to the organisation,” Mr van den Broek says.
Like the President, Ben (pictured right) is a former member of the Young Leaders' Programme (2015), and during that time he was able to observe the PINZ Board. He then joined the Board as Chair of what is now IPAC (2015-2016). Currently serving as Chair of the Wellington Branch, he is on the IPAC & COMPRO committee and sits on the Board as the Central Region representative. He is also a member of the Finance, Audit & Risk committee.
Professionally, Ben has previously worked at HM Treasury and Deloitte Real Estate in London, as well as the Treasury and the Defence Property Group in New Zealand. He is currently an Associate Director in PwC's Real Estate team, based in Wellington.
“The appointment as Vice-President means a lot to me, as PINZ has offered me so many development opportunities and continues to do so. It really shows that getting involved with PINZ is a great way to learn new skills, increase your professional network, and take on some exciting challenges!”
