Covid-19 Restrictions:

The Property Institute is prepared

August 14, 2020

Dear Members,

It promises to be an interesting day as the country waits for the latest developments of the Covid-19 outbreak which has sent Auckland into a Level 3 state of Alert and the rest of the country into Level 2.
We appreciate many of you will be feeling anxious, as will your family members - these are tough and uncertain times for many.
As Chief Executive of the Property Institute I want to echo the messages we have consistently advocated since March.
Above all else, follow Government guidelines, they are available HERE
On this page you will also find the QR Codes that your business requires if it is open to the public. These should be in place by 11:59am on Wednesday 19 August.
Of course, we advise members to follow their own health and safety processes and keep an eye out for the updates we will be providing in the coming days.
These will be consistent, informed and based on reliable information.  We do not engage in speculation or interpretation.
In terms of PINZ operations it is pleasing to say we are ready for what may come.
We took a deliberately cautious approach during the Covid hiatus - and maintained the infrastructure we put in place during the first lock-down. This means members of the National Support Team have seamlessly transitioned to remote operations and services will continue - largely uninterrupted although face-to-face events are under review at this early stage.
We expect to make more announcements on these in the coming days once the situation becomes clearer.
Lastly, I want to assure members that we will do everything in our power to ensure you have the tools and information to help you and your businesses get through these latest challenges.
We have done it successfully before and I am confident we can do it again.
Stay safe.

Warm regards

Viv Gurrey
