About the Event

Split over two morning sessions the Virtual Valuers Summit includes the NZIV compulsory ethics module and the NZIV compulsory standards module, an economic update from Sharon Zollner and a session on Insurance & Principals with Jack Humphrey.

The compulsory ethics session will be a fully interactive session. Participants must join on a device with a camera and audio function in order to participate in the workshop component of this session.

  • Richard Moon

    Richard Moon has worked as a lawyer for over 25 years. Richard regularly advises professional services firms and professional bodies in relation to all aspects of their business. He has considerable general litigation experience and particular expertise in the conduct of disciplinary cases.

    Richards recent roles included acting for the New Zealand Institute of Valuers in proceedings concerning the interpretation of the Valuers Act 1948.

  • Steven Dunlop. FNZIV, FPINZ

    Chair of the NZIV Professional Conduct Committee.

    Steven has been Chair of the PCC since December 2022. The role of the PCC is to ensure that where the NZIV decides to investigate a complaint against a Registered Valuer, a properly constituted Committee undertakes that investigation fairly, in accordance with the rules of natural justice.



  • Sharon Zollner

    • Chief Economist ANZ

    Sharon joined the ANZ economics team in 2010, having started her career in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in 1998. She holds a Master of Commerce from the University of Canterbury. Sharon manages a team of six experts based around the country.

    Property and Valuation Standards Board Member

    John is an Auckland based Commercial Valuer and is the Director of NH Valuers, which covers Commercial, residential and lifestyle property markets around Greater Auckland. As a past Chair and still current member of the PINZ Standards Board, John has first hand knowledge of current standards both local and International. Specialist workstreams John is involved in include Expert Witness, Arbitrations/ rent disputes and Compensation Valuations.

  • Jason Williams. MPINZ

    Property and Valuation Standards Board Member

    Jason is a Senior Commercial and Industrial Valuer. He is a member of the Property and Valuation Standards Board and is a former NZIV Councillor, NZIV and PINZ Auckland branch chairman. He also sits on the PINZ and PCNZ Guide for the Measurement of Rentable Areas review committee.

    Jason works in the Auckland industrial and commercial market including undertaking valuations for various purposes including mortgage lending, financial reporting, rent reviews, insurance, and land value apportionments for depreciation purposes. His focus is on industrial and commercial valuations within the greater Auckland region.

  • Jack Humphrey

    • Client Executive at Marsh

    Jack has around 6 years’ experience working within the insurance market. Over the last 4 years Jack has looked after the Valuer portfolio for Marsh and specialises in Valuers Professional Indemnity placement. He has worked with clients both large and small and has worked with some of the largest valuation firms in New Zealand.
