About the Event

The Property and Valuation Standards Board has undertaken a review of ANZPGP 201 - Disclaimer Clauses and Qualification Statements in conjunction with the Australian Property Institute.

The updated joint API/PINZ guidance paper ANZPGP 201 - Disclaimer Clauses and Qualification Statements effective from 1st July 2023 is recommended best practice.

This guidancerpaper provides guidance to Institute Members including Valuers in relation to third-party disclaimers and qualification statements and their inclusion in reports or other professional advice to clients.

Third-party disclaimers are statements that restrict who the Member and the client have agreed:

(a) the use to which the report or other written advice may be put; and
(b) the party or parties who may rely on the report or other written advice; and
(c) the exclusion of any other party.

Join Ian Campbell, Property and Valuation Standards Board member and Richard Moon, Barrister, as together they talk us through the updates to the guidance paper.
