This is an NZIV webinar presented by David Paterson PCC Chair & Dr Gary Garner NZIV General Secretary.

The first part of this session delivered by PCC Chair David Paterson will explain the involvement of the PCC and the ‘Concerns’ service offered to the public for the resolution of relatively minor issues not yet escalated as a “complaint”. This session will provide exemplars and explain when the Concerns service should be instigated and by who, and the circumstances under which resolution might be achieved without recourse to a formal complaint.

This second part will be delivered by NZIV General Secretary Dr Gary Garner who will explain the nature and purpose of the NZIV’s mentoring service designed to assist valuers after a formal complaint is made. The focus here is to explain how the Mentor Support program can be confidentially accessed, and the extent to which a Registered valuer might be supported to help them through what can prove to be quite a difficult period.
