Speakers

  • Claire Edmondson

    • CEO / Infrastructure New Zealand

    Claire has over 20 years’ experience as a consultant specialising in central and local government public policy advice and has worked on some tough policy issues – most recently the Covid-19 Wage Subsidy Scheme and the Resurgence Support Payment.

    She held several roles in Christchurch following the earthquakes, including Chief Advisor to the Chief Executive of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA), Acting Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Christchurch, Strategic Advisor to the Crown Manager of Christchurch City Council following Council’s loss of building consent accreditation, Establishment Lead for communications and governance in the crown company Otākaro, and Senior Advisor on the Royal Commission into the Canterbury Earthquakes. Claire was also Senior Ministerial Advisor to the Minister of Education and has worked as a Management Consultant for both PwC and MartinJenkins.

    Claire’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (UK), and she is currently completing a PhD in law and criminology through AUT.
