What makes a property mixed use?

In its simplest form, mixed-use property combines two or more types of real estate, such as retail and residential, or office and industrial in a pedestrian-friendly setting.

The healthy homes standards introduce specific and minimum standards for heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture ingress, and drainage, and draught stopping in rental properties how is this dealt with when managing mixed-use properties.
