MARTYN JOHN CRAVEN ANZIV, SPINZ Registered Valuer Introduction I am a Registered Valuer practising in the firm of Telfer Young Rotorua (formerly Reid & Reynolds). I had been employed by Reid & Reynolds as a Rural Valuer from 1 August 2004 and from 1 January 2006 appointed Rural Team Leader, comprising three rural valuers. Qualifications and Experience I am an associate of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and a member of the New Zealand Property Institute. I qualified as a Rural Chartered Surveyor (UK) on 24 May 1996 and was a member of RICS for several years. I immigrated to New Zealand in January 2001 and commenced work with Garton and Associates Northland as a Property Valuer. I obtained associate membership status of the NZIV (6570) in 2003 under the Reprocity Agreement between NZIV and RICS (UK). Over the past 10 years of practice I have specialised within the rural/lifestyle sector, firstly as a Chartered Surveyor within the UK and subsequently as Rural Property Valuer within New Zealand. Telfer Young are a medium to large valuation practice, providing Valuation Services within the rural, residential and commercial sectors. My work experience is concentrated on rural property valuations throughout the Central North Island. On behalf of private clients, financial institutions and corporate businesses I am regularly instructed to provide current market valuations of all classes of rural properties and have specialised in forestry, farming and lifestyle/lakes properties within Rotorua, Taupo and South Waikato districts. I have been engaged in a number of dairy farm valuations and also involved in assessments of various corporate foresters assets, proposed for dairy conversion within Rotorua, Taupo and South Waikato districts. The rural practice division is specialised in forestry valuation and is recognised within New Zealand as one of the premier forestry valuation practices. The firm is located within Rotorua, Central North Island where New Zealand forestry plantations are predominantly concentrated.
