The Young Property Professional of the Year award recognises an outstanding and emerging young professional within the New Zealand property industry and is awarded to encourage our future leaders. The award recipient will have demonstrated initiative, innovation, leadership and a strong, positive contribution to their professional community.
The award is open to all members of PINZ across all grades of membership and who has been a member for at least 12 months. A nominees contribution may have been made in either a single calendar year or over a longer period and the nominee must have been under the age of 35 on 31 December 2020.
To apply for the award a completed nomination form with the following supporting attachments must be provided:
- CV from the nominee
- A supporting statement from the nominee of up to 500 words including details of their involvement in the property industry and how they are positioning themselves for a future in the industry
- Three written commendations from colleagues, clients, mentors, education providers or any other professional or community group
The Property Institute of New Zealand may seek further information from nominees as deemed necessary and interviews may be conducted by one or more of the awarding panel as part of the award deliberation process.
The awarding panel will comprise a member of the PINZ Board, the PINZ Chief Executive Officer and a representative from each PINZ Professional Community. The decision of the awarding panel is final.
Nominees that are shortlisted for the award will be notified by mid June.
The presentation of the award will be made at the PINZ National Property Conference in Auckland on 14-16 July 2021.
