The Property Institute of New Zealand is committed to promoting excellence and high standards among property professionals.  

The Property Industry Quality Assurance programme (PIQA) is for firms in New Zealand that provide services within the property sector.  PIQA is a business quality assurance certification programme that allows firms to demonstrate that they are meeting best practice compliance requirements.  

PIQA also has a comprehensive tool kit of resources for property professionals to support their business needs and to assist with maintaining organisational best practice.

Key Benefits

  • Customers and stakeholders can have confidence that an accredited firm has policies and processes in place to support industry best practice.
  • By accrediting firms and monitoring national practice, the Institute is well placed to identify and respond to national issues quickly.
  • The scheme does not overlap the functions of the Valuers Registration Board, the statutory body which investigates complaints against individual valuers.
  • Accredited firms are easily recognisable, through the use of the PIQA logo. Only firms that have achieved formal accreditation may use this logo.
